An innovative procedure called Platlet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, uses a patient's own blood and stem cells to heal tissue injuries. Blood is drawn, spun in a centrifuge to concentate the platelets and injected into the damaged site in cases such as tendonitis and other joint issues to grow and create new tissue for healing. Saint Raphael's orthopedic section chief, Dr. Enzo Sella explains.
