UNDENIABLE THE BEST GOSPEL MEZZO-SOPRANO EVER. EVEN THOUGH HER TESSITURA (VOCAL RANGE) IS CONSIDERED MORE OF A SOPRANO IN HER YOUNGER YEARS. THE ANNOINTING AND AMAZING FLOW OF HOW TRAMAINE CAN CARRY YOU RIGHT WITH HER. I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO HER SINCE 1980 AND THE WOMAN IS INCREDABLE. STILL ALMOST 60 AND STILL HAS IT. IT'S THE ANNOINTING AND SHE HAS STAYED THROUGHOUT THE HILLS AND MOUNTAINS IN HER LIFE. WHAT AN AMAZING VOCALIST AND WOMAN OF GOD...YOU GO TRAMAINE!!!!
Again, from this awesome 1982 concert. A lot of the performances are here on Youtube, but most of them say this is simply from "The Gospel Album". One of the most awesome, Shirley Caesar's He's Got it all in Control. Same page, on the right, see the Clark Sisters Living in Vain from the same concert.
So, so, so many memories. The early concerts, with Daniel on the organ, Edwin on the piano, Joel on the drums. It was so new; we never heard this approach before. I sat on the edge of my seat throughout the two times I saw them in the 70's. Thank you, Thank you, for taking me back. I wanted to go and you took me. Thanks be to GOD Amighty for this time and this place. I feel now just like I did then. It's so infectious, so habit forming. Alleluia.
