Niko Bellic From GTA 4
Vladimir Mashkov is a Russian actor. He was a Serbian sniper in movie Behind Enemy Lines. Niko is Serbian-Croatian (more Serbian) NOT Russian like in the movie (in game he said hes not Russian and he speaks Serbo-Croatian). If you think why Serbo-Croatian. Its cuz everybody said he speaks Serbo-Croatian not just Serbian or just Croatian and Serbian and Croatian language is the same (not everything but we understand each other) and it always was Serbo-Croatian language in Yugoslavia but everyone thinks hes Serbian. We think (Serbians and Croatians) he is Niko or Nikola Belić (Niko Belić).
My comment on one video: Niko is Serbian-Croatian NOT Russian but i think hes more Serbian (but i dont care game is still great to me) xD. To me Serbians and Croatians are the same. We speak the same (not everything) but we understand each other. Im Croatian and i have many friends from Serbia. And just one thing Niko (Nikola) is Croatian name too like Serbian and we have Bellic (Belić) in Croatia too like in Serbia. I dont care if hes Serbian or Croatian or Russian game is still the best game to me. And one more thing there are many Serbians in Croatia and Croatians in Serbia. We are friends xD I dont care bout war and that shits. Thats over now (we live now not then) that was then and now its over (war). We were in Yugoslavia and we were friends but we still can be and we are.

@nem01able some serbs use nikola, then say niko for short....but NIKO is the actual name croatians use not nikola.This name has and will always be Croatian.
Creator of the game shouldve used Dragan or Dragon for short this is a heavily used serb name.

@nem01able the creator of the game didnt know the name is used by croatians more than serbs....shouldve picked a serb sounding name instead of Niko.

@altoona701 In the game it mentioned he fought for Serbia in the war plus there was a conflict with albanians "in the game" so unless croats really hate albanians your argument is invalid

niko is a croat niko is so much more popular as a croat name especially in bosnia.used ecllusively by bosnian croats and definetely not serb
