This is an exclusive interview of Dr. Ruth Simmons, first African-American and second female president of an Ivy League institution, discussing the importance of celebrating the diversity within the African Diaspora and supporting ourselves. Onyx at Brown University is an organization comprised of African-American seniors, acting as their social and support group and promoting the unity of African-Americans across all classes at Brown.
