Purity. Truth. Singing from your Soul reaching other Souls. These simple lyrics are heartwrenching. How many of us have cried out for the return of a lover. Cried from the heart. The Chantels are a magnificant blend of voices and believability who gave courage and understanding to those of us in the strugglling years of adolescence. Those confusing years--years of not being quite sure how or what to express. Penetratingly, they expressed what we
felt but were unable to express. Encouraging us.

Thanks for the memories. Now check out the same tune by The 3 Degrees and the late but ever great Linda Jones. Linda also pours her heart out on "Not On The Outside", "Hypnotized" and "Your Precious Love". If you're an afficianado of soul music, you'll know what I mean. This is music you can feel. Timeless. Classic. Heartwrenching.

@thadivagirl Thank you, truly, for the nice note. I can appreciate where you are coming from. The best to both of us! :)

@ladykws Thank you. Yes, my Mom was a beautiful, loving and caring person. This month makes six years of living without her on this earth, but I know her spirit surrounds me daily....she is truly missed. Treasure each and everyday that you have with your Mom and Dad, you only get one. I'm glad that you all are close. Because it will be all of those good memories, and the grace of God, that will get you through when they are gone. Let's pray that it will be a long time away. Take care.

@thadivagirl Your post touched me; I thank the Lord above every day that I still have my mother and father. I am so close with them, and my heart goes out to those who have lost their loving mother or father. I am sorry you lost your mother. All the best to you; it sounds like your mother gave you a good start, musically, and a feeling heart. Take care.

Wow! I was born in 1958 and this song has really touched my heart...even today. I guess I'm an old soul, because the music back then had so much more meaning than "most" of today's music. I said "most" because there's some songs of today that is very moving and has meaning.
R.I.P. Mother, I can still see you and daddy dancing as us kids peeked, watch and giggled. Thank you for being a wonderful loving Mom and introducing us to these wonderful songs. Love U 4EVER.
