  • that baby is far too young. babies need their mother! makes me feel sick :(

  • the baby in the video is way to young to be able to self soothe. Babies cry to communicate, not to annoy parents. So by letting your baby cry it out you're telling your baby "your needs do not matter." and they will eventually fall asleep from pure exhaustion and defeat. Hysterical crying releases cortisol in a baby's brain creating permanent damage. Good luck sleep training your babies and dealing with deteached children later on.

  • A baby who stops crying the second he is picked up, and starts crying the second he is put down is a spoiled baby who is used to being held all the time.

  • please flag this shit as juvenile violence

  • i´ll be darnd what a nazi bitch. 3 minutes, 2 minutes? sleep training? reset your baby? the baby is a soul demanding of love and wrmth and attention not a turn on-off toy

  • Sorry, but WHAT??

The baby is "allowed" to suck the pacifier only 3 times?

    And then? Babys problem?

If you want a baby what sleeps whole bight, get a dog!

Im happy that my 4month old son sleeps with me in the bed and drinks some time during the night.

  • And 'close to hysterical'? That's REALLY SAFE. Wtf. How do people who are "experts" not know that is dangerous?

  • Are you serious? How old is that baby?! Yeah...make that baby "learn". Learn what, that you're not going to help him get to sleep? Babies don't know how to "self-soothe", that's bullshit.

  • I agree that babies should not be left crying... not even for 3 minutes... until they are at least about 9 months old where they already learn about how get respond from daddy and mommy. Even then, there is a need to understand why they cry. I still think petting them to sleep is the right thing.

  • How to deal with crying? Don't make your child cry by abandoning them just because it's not convenient to look after them at that time.

    Job done!

  • What is your advice based on?

Why should a baby sleep through the night? Why?

Babies cannot self-soothe. This is all well-documented in the scientific community and you are doing a great disservice to people watching this video who are assuming you are an expert.

Please look at the work of Dr. Becky Bailey who is making great strides in helping children feel safe in school so they can thrive and learn. When a baby is left to cry it out, their amygdala is greatly overstimulated!
