Today we are looking at the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Hexa-core AM3 Processor.

This particular CPU is the latest from AMD supporting 45nm technology, running at 125watts and sporting 6 cores with a speed of 3.2GHz. It's a perfect processor to rival Intel when the user needing multiple cores. Video editing and photo rendering are particular applications that will benefit from this CPU.

  • Is this better then i7? I mean it has everything better in specs and it's cheaper...thanks in advance!

  • @MadPropzBaller personal preference and all depends on what you'r hoping to do (gaming or editing etc...)

  • @eteknix Is this six core? and is this better than intel six core?

  • @TechSupport7 yes it's six core or hexa-core and it all depends on the rest of the system but intel has hyperthreading technology etc....

  • Did that just say 58.1 Seconds for Win7 to start?!

I've got an old Dell Dimension 2600 with a Single-Core Pentium 4 and I can get Win7 loaded up in around 25 Seconds!

I am looking at getting another Desktop and this CPU is sounding very appealing to me considering Intel's are more than twice the price more for almost the same performance!

  • @TrueSkyl1n3 That's from pressing the button to it loading. I have an i7 rig with a Gigabyte USB3 board that takes around the same due to it's long POST process, especially with 12GB of ram. From the windows kernal starting to getting into windows on my system with 2 ssd's in RAID 0 takes about 15 seconds.

  • @Stephenzwa Me too, i've always been a fan of AMD, Intel do make good products, but i just think they are overpriced.

  • @homes24 I'm English, not American.
