This is a folk song from Cornwall, not England, and I don't want to hear that fact disputed. There's no such thing as 'Cornwall in England. It's Cornwall near England.

Some kid smuggled a phone into our ordition for the Sydney West Music Education Week Festival, and took this video.

If i'm honest, as I usually am, this is almost not worth putting here, but until Andrew and I make some new videos, this will have to do.

Note to Andrew: let's get together and record some more soon, ok?

Oh, and here's a link to a much better version of the song, though not a video and not with Andrew on guitar.

  • and you know what? you're a tosser who has no idea what he's talking about. Cornwall, like Wales and Scotland has every right to be considered a duchy. I changed the word in the song because nothing else would fit.

    bugger off why don't you.

  • If england wasnt such a s***hole maybe cornwall wouldnt mind being associated with us. I dont blame them. Its beautiful and we're gonna wreck it sooner or later. They shouldnt let people move there. Im on their side.

  • Last time I checked Cornwall was a county.... you know, in England? Not a country. Actually let's just check.... yes, yes it's a county. Oh and look, sill a county. And again, still a county. Yes, definitely a county. I applaud your optimism though! Maybe one night, as if by magic, it will take us all by surprise and just become a country, all by itself. Actually, no. No it won't. It's a county.

  • @2206411411 I have lived in Cornwall for 4 years and at no point have I ever heard a single person speak anything in Cornish... I know the language exists, but the only way you ever see any evidence is from the road signs

  • I'm as annoyed as the uploader seems to be on the Cornwall issue. It was granted the right to an independent parliament (Henry VI?), it has its own language, it is indeed a Duchy, it has its own unique traditions (such as the Wreckers and the Moonrakers). Whatever your opinion, I feel the place has earned respect and dignity at the very least, along with all who hail from it.

  • ayeh it be the large demon of the depths dont listen to her wails boyz quick get to the surface befor she drives us mad

  • Wow, man. The video quality is poor, of course, but the music sounds awesome. My family is from Cornwall (not England), and I'd love to see ya make a better recording of Cousin Jack.

  • I reckon this would be alright if it was recorded better
