I think portions should be smaller. I can't finish EVER at a restaurant and I ALWAYS have to take leftovers home. It's crazy. And hey, less food, lower costs. Win win. And there won't be pressure to stuff yourself full to finish.
Good, I hope the portions are significantly reduced. When I go to a place to eat, and order pasta, they give me a plate with enough to feed a family of 6! What the hell???? Are they plotting to kill me? It is so inconvienient to have to sort out my plate and put the rest in a doggy bag before I even get to enjoy my meal! What the hell, no wonder americans are so unhealthy.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime. Basically instead of policing portions only in resturants, teach people what they need to eat and they can control their portions when ever where ever they eat!
I agree that portion distortion is a problem but policing the resturant industry is not the answer! Teach people proper nutrition! Show them what proper portions look like. She trys to make it sound like common sense but diet and nutrtion unless you're taught how it works can be this big mystery.
She's absolutely right. Your right to make yourself fat, takes away from my right to put my tax dollars to better use than taking care of your mistakes when you get diabetes and heart disease. What about my rights? Look, no one likes laws because laws take away rights, but don't you ppl realize that laws take away the "right" to murder, lie, cheat and steal? But we indorse those laws, correct? The question shouldn't be about freedom, but ethics and morality. What's right and wrong.
I do agree with Meme in the fact that people have no self control, but I think that it is the right of people to choose or not choose what to put into their bodies. The problem is that people have no idea how many calories they put into their bodies, and that they want to have somebody feed them rather than expend the effort to feed themselves.

I think the portion should be half size and with that the price cost only half too.
So spammler portions makes us lean, costs us less, and is better for the planet

Is Neil pro-obeisity or something? He speaks condescendingly to Meme and argues with every point she makes.

I think . . . most people don't actually have a clue what the nutrition facts mean, let alone how to apply them
