UDE Colt Defense LE 6940 AR15 Rifle

Heres my first AR that I got in Jan of 2010. Very Nice rifle that is accurate and reliable. Put several accessories on my Barbie for men and plan on changing out a few things. I would like to get several more AR's in other Variants in the future such as a A2 version and a Long Barrel with a scope. But this is just for starters.

i have a colt m4 i was wanting to mod,where did you get the magpul furniture in that color?are they factory?i have same eotech site and was looking for a flip up front site because the standard sight is in my field of view when looking through eotech.any suggestions for front site?

@TabCrusher @TabCrusher Hey there, I would get a Troy Industries Front Sight. That is my preference. I have thier sights on another gun and it is made very well.

As for the UDE Magpul Furnature I got mine set off a Furms Classified Ads section.

I'll send you a link to where you can buy a set.

It has the new version of the railcovers (index clips) but if you like the one in my video. I would be willing to trade.

Solid firearm, well done. Dont know if I like the multi colored handguards, but thats the best thing about this platform. You almost never see the same setup twice. Happy Shooting.

@chucker625 Your right, I have yet to see an AR like my baby here. I have a couple of other AR's that Im still working on. Both are shooting but they a missing small little items. One of them is in FDE fromat as the other is all Blacked out.

I really waht the Costa Ludus Edition LaRue Hybrid OBR Next. Might have to sell some of my guns to get it. hmmm

@TabCrusher LaRue has the UDE aswell as a whole kit (Contents: Magpul CTR, Magpul MOE pistol grip, LaRue indexclip 72pcs and there FUG) that's because it's a LaRue Xclusive!

@SuperLONARDO I dont believe so since the AR came with a 20 Rnd Mag as well as the absence of a Bullet Button. But Im pretty sure Colt makes a "Steer" version of the 6940. IF this rifle is on your states "APPROVED" list.

My Heart goes out to you guys that cant get certain weapons in the Banned States. Ouch!!

FYI- Try looking into the Piston version of the 6940. I wish they had that version when I had gotten this AR or I would have went with that one.

@chucker625 im just really trying to get a taste of guns bcuz im about to be taking gunsmith classes up and i just wanted to mess around and i heard ar 15s are good to mess around with bcuz you can do alot with them but i see your point and gun laws in california suck and did you build yours? is there a way to convert the bullet button if i move out CA?

@SuperLONARDO Not CA approved. Mags are bigger than 10 round, and it didnt appear to have a bullet button. California has made buying AR's kind of like looking for a corvette with a V-6. I am sure you could build one, but then again, whats the point?
