This is a 4 watt 445nm quad laser module I assembled form parts you can get at www.microlaserlabs.com

This module has 4 445nm laser diodes running a little over 1 watt a piece and draws 6 amps @ 12VDC to drive it at full output power. The laser also has analog modulation input. This module will be used for light show applications at a large club.

  • Hi really cool video.

On an unrelated question, Just wondering how do you stop from accidently blinding people with the ultra bright lasers used in clubs that will sometimes hit people in the face. As I understand it, as long as the laser is moving it's safe, but is it possible for a laser mirror to just seize up and you got 4 watts of laser shinning into a person's eyeball?

I"M assuming not. but how does the fail safe work with these scanning lasers?

  • AWESOME VID AND LASER! Thanks for your dedication to laser hobbyist. Also nice Beam dump :) I want one but the one that was selling for $50 sold out.

  • @eveningniteshade because the ones in clubs that are shined at people faces are not anywhere close 4W. Theyre like 200mw

  • Hi, I'm wondering,

I have also a 4 diodes array, but I put a waveplate, as your beam is too bright impossible to see it on the video, the beam looks like a cross? or " I I "?

    Thanks!

  • Excellent.

  • NO ONE CAN DEFEAT IT! JUMPING IS USELESS!

  • @hightechstuff2 Haha! ok! :)

  • @Celsian Yeah, I've seen that... LOL!
