Excuse the very shaky camera work on this one - I was having too much fun on the keys! Same setup as previous video only this time the SH-101 is not in [Hold] mode and only plays notes when keys are played normally. A very nice feature of the SH-101 is that when an External Clock is applied to the Clock Input and [Random] is selected as the Modulation Waveform - the Speed of the Modulation is clocked off the External Input. In this case I have dialed in the Modulation over the Filter Cutoff with a fair bit of Resonance applied as well. The result being a tight rhythmic pulsing over my played notes and even some notes missed and gated as the Filter Cutoff drops below the note fundamental. Getting an SH-101 to groove this tight usually involves vintage, hardware only synchronization. The Sync-Lock gives you that same feel and instant player response in a modern DAW environment.
