The Resentments / Saxon Pub / Austin, TX / Mar 16, 2008
The Resentments are 'Scrappy' Jud Newcomb, Steven Bruton, Bruce Hughes, Jon Dee Graham & John Chipman. They share vocal duties, and are all well-respected (and acclaimed) Austin musicians in their own rite. Jon Dee Graham didn't play at this show.
The Resentments have a standing Sunday night gig at the Saxon Pub. On this set, Malford Milligan joined them on stage. I'm not sure of the name of the song, or where you can purchase it.

Oh WOW, thank you for posting this. I will be seeing Malford tomorrow night so I am trolling to get a feel of what I will be seeing. Just wish Stephen was still with us :(
This had to be a phenomenal show!

Malford and Stephen were good friends. They played together at the local pub in Wichita Falls once and it was magic. Yes, the world lost a major musical force when Bruton passed away. I deeply miss him.

WOW!! I just got turned on to Steve via this video. An internet buddy turned me on to him and posted this link on the subdudes forum. What a tragedy that he posted it to tell of Steves premature death from cancer last weekend. This world has lost a great soul, but I guess the band up in heaven is getting better and better with each passing of these talented, giving souls. I'm heading out to buy 'From The Five' today. Awesome groove!!! Peace.
