The GCS Ukulele Ensemble in dress rehearsals for the Music For Youth Schools Prom 2011.
About GCS Ukelele Ensemble
Set up in 2009 by young musician Christian, the GCS Ukelele Ensemble make their own arrangements to perform. After the head of music at their school won the Classic FM Music Teacher of the Year Award at the MFY Schools Prom a couple of years ago, they decided to take part in the MFY Regional Festival Series and performed at a Festival in Surrey. They were then chosen to take part in the MFY National Festival in Birmingham and then invited to the MFY Schools Prom at the Schools Prom, where this video is taken.
About the MFY Schools Prom
Over three nights, 3,000 performers took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall. The Schools Prom 2011 featured inspirational performances from some of the country's finest young musicians and singers - the next generation of the UK's musical talent.
