Like you can "defeat" terrorism. The idea of doing a "war" against terrorists is stupid because terrorist cells don't operate in domestic scale.
All this war did is destabilize the region leading to more death. In fact, the deadliest act of terror after 9/11 happened in Iraq killing 800+ people!
Also he repeatedly uses the soldiers brave sacrifice emotionally for his own poltical goals. "Think of our soldiers!" Before that polticians used 9/11 "Think of 9/11".

John Boner believes what he says, and thinks before he says it. He believes in America, and tries to help it in any way he can. The fact that you do not recognize this, and fail to realize the danger of ignoring him, shows just how dumb you are. You don't attack any of his policies, you just badmouth and attack him. First of all, many of us can agree that republican politics have failed for the last eight years, however, I really don't think it's commendable to degrade anyone who emotionally recognizes the significance of our military and what they have gone through. Naturally the funding, which meant further escalation, wasn't something congress was about to pass, at least Boehner willingly defended his views. And this is coming from a Democrat from MA, LOL.
