My second (easier) tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOHdD_ISUxY
And the link to my third tutorial that will help you with the chords and timing the 2 hands http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVtm34vc1po
Believe it or not, I am a noob on the keyboard.
I learned this piece within a month, although I never played piano before.
Actually I did, but never with 2 hands and only with background music where you hit a couple keys to make it sound good, lol.
So yeah, this is my first almost completed piece.
I cannot hold the rhytm yet and I keep bending my fingers too far, miss a couple chords, but it still sounds ok :D
Fine tuning I guess, not bad for a month imho.
I will post a video about CanonD medium level soon.
I am working on that one for a while longer yet.
But I dont play as often as I should, nevertheless I find I am doing ok.
Let me know what you think, thanks! :D

I made this tutorial because I was missing a couple things in the already excisting ones, plus only a few did use the easy version I wanted to learn first.
My inspiration came mainly from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3_wC_NMhgc
But he didn't do it in english nor did he show all the keys properly and the timing was tough to find the first time I tried it.
I find this is one of the most beautliful pieces and very rewarding when you learned to play it
So give it a try and I hope my tutorial works for ya ;)

  • thanks for sharing, my nephew is bugging me to teach him this song now I won't have to punish my ears just like the old times that I have to rewind and forward the cartridge just to figure out how to play a certain song... god bless you always!

  • @veiledlips Haha, I am happy yet again, being able to help and support another young pianist. Thanks for the great comment.

  • I am a complete begginer with the piano but I really want to learn this piece. I managed to learn everything my problem is being able to play it all together with both hands. What do you guys recommend?

  • @amazinggirl12 Tough giving advice, when we can't watch you play. BUT from my own experience, all I can tell you is: With patience on priority number one, play the piece SLOW SLOW SLOW and play a little bit right hand over and over again. Then what ever matches that part add the left hand, note by note, to it. To train your co-ordination, I will upload a video. Daily Piano Training. That should help you.

Please check back tomorrow! Thanks :D

  • A quick tip for today: Place your hands left and right on the C, left hand pinky plays C and up (thumb on G) Right hand has thumb on C and pinky on G. Play those 5 notes over and over again. First left then right, alternate again and again. Play them both together when you have the rhythm and volume right. Then play every 3rd note louder than the rest, one after another. If this don't make sense, please wait for the video.

  • Why, tell me please, do you teach slowly and easily at the easier parts but then speed up so we can't follow at the harder parts?

  • @jesicaweaver Haha, because I am not a teacher, would be the best answer I can give you. The second answer would be, because I am a newbie on the piano. But there is hope! Because I made enough tutorials for this piece, that you will find the one that works for you. Check out the playlist and you will find what you need, I am sure. It is a learning process, to figure out what ppl want and need to see in which way and what manner. I am getting better at it btw ;)

  • Good job!

  • This and your other videos on this piece are the best on Youtube. I've been studying that Mexican guy's video for a month..how the heck did you figure it out? And you're a beginner?! The timing was impossible to figure out, for me at least.
