  • @ChristainPatriot01 Benedictus should immediately follow the Sanctus. However, in mass set in polyphony, benedictus is sung after the elevation. I think this is due to the prolonged singing of Sanctus in polyphony so that if the benedictus is sung immediately after, the elevation might come while the singing of the benedictus is not yet completed.

  • Isn't the Benedictus sung after the elevation of the chalice?
