A masterstroke using the Prophecies track as part of the exposition soundtrack for this film. It perfectly fit the dystopian alternate history we can be thankful never happened. I applaud the director's choice!
Yes, Zack Snyder's choice of music is VERY appropriate. Watchmen has become one of my favorite movies, partly because of that choice. Every time I hear Koyaanisqatsi, Prophecies or Pruit Igoe I think of Dr. Manhattan.
The point was to draw attention to the appropriateness of Zack Snyder's choice of Philip Glass' iconic score in Watchmen. The clips are short because they are cut from the trailers. And yes, I agree that longer shots would befit the slow music a bit better.
