Your gauge is broken. Notice how it goes to 3 bar as soon as you turn the key? When there is a wiring fault or the sensor is bad the gauge will peg at 3.

@KamZ94 I know...

@KamZ94 Common now, it can't be that bad...doesn't need any pills or whatever...thanks for commenting!

What is the normal temp setting, I have a 420sel and it is above 80 I think normal is right on 80

I would suggest you do an oil pressure test to confirm if it's a gauge fault or a pressure fault. The fact you drove it around with the gauge showing 0 and the motor didn't sieze up probably indicates a gauge problem. Good luck.

OK, someone please tell me what is the problem. I just got a 1991 model 200D. When I drove it yesterday, the oil pressure gauge was at 3. When I drove back to my house, it was 0. Nothing more, just 0. The oil level was normal, and I didn`t hear any unusual sounds coming from the engine. Is the gauge itself broken or should I really be worried about the condition of the engine?

your pressure sonsor is broken. look at the pressure gauge, when yuo are turnch only the ignition on. it shows "3" without the engine running. sorry for my bad english, i'm german ;)

Cheers.
