The Rotary Club of San Francisco del Monte's (RI District 3780) Operating Room on Wheels Since its launching in Sept. 2007, the Rotary Club of San Francisco del Monte's (RI District 3780) DOCS Surgical Van has performed more than 30 surgical missions all over Luzon with more than 3,000 beneficiaries. To have an idea of the impact of these missions, I will give an example. So far we have done 6 inguinal hernia surgeries under local & peripheral nerve anesthesia on kids
inside the surgical van. Because of these promising results, I was invited by the Phil. Children's Medical Center to help them on their 2 scheduled hernia surgical missions last Oct.5 ( joint project with GMA 7 Gawad Kapuso project) and last Oct 30 in Norzagaray, Bulacan. From these 2 missions, 30 patients (out of a total of 71) aged 6-11 yrs. old, underwent herniotomy (and some with concomitant orchidopexy procedure for undescended testis) under local & peripheral nerve anesthesia. In terms of the economic impact, a case of herniotomy under general anesthesia on a kid will cost at least 60K (private) and 10K (charity) while if it is done under local & peripheral nerve block, it will only cost 20-30K (private) and 3K (charity). In other words, there is a significant reduction in the cost of surgery if the procedure is done under local & peripheral nerve anesthesia, more than 50% reduction for private patients and 70% for charity cases! With the experiences that we had from the monthly mission trips of the DOCS Surgical van, we not only have helped many indigent patients but also have made pioneering works that will benefit our people, especially the 60-70% of the population who are living below the poverty line. Hopefully, through publications, presentations in conventions and the internet, we will be able to share this kind of idea and experience to other countries.

  • Fuck, innocent non-Hernia kids was determined to have Hernia and their body were mutilated

  • @jalansukachita I can't believe how dumb you are, women has AIDS too and it is transmitted from penis to VAGINA My God. SOAP, EDUCATION and CONDOMS. Repeat this to yourself and it might sink in. Look obviously your mutilation interest is based on sadist pedophilia and if you could admit that it would make a lot more sense than trying (badly) to disprove common sense. I suppose you also believe women are from Venus and men are from mars and the world is square LOL

  • @jalansukachita Genital mutilation has been proven time and time again to have no benefits and only uneducated rats and retarded Yanks fall for it. You never answered my question about clitoral hoods and outer labia? Are they also removed? As clitoral hoods are the equivalent of male foreskin and obviously it takes two to tango

  • @benjonsonable Again with the insults, well ok if we are on this path, I might as well say that you are the one thats uneducated. The evidence is there that circumcision is beneficil, plus are they not going to be sexualy active in the future ? and i would also refer you to my previous point about infections and how they can be fatal if not highly risky for many people especially in 3rd world nations. And if your as smart as you think you are Labias etc HAVE NOT been seen to fester AIDS cells.

  • @jalansukachita You clearly aren't an educated doctor and children are not sexually active so your propaganda has no grounds. SOAP AND CONDOMS. Oh and what about clitoral hoods and outer labia? Do you amputate these also then?

  • @benjonsonable

Now the fact that you are getting so upset is indicative of your fallacious argument and there is no need for insults. Your premise is actually rather ingnorant of the fact that countires that have seen a spike in circumcision rates in recent years, have seen a decline in the rate of HIV infection. I am not talking about the number of people infected but the rate of infection which has significantly decline from circumcision runs. Yes condoms and ed helps but with circumcision.

  • @jalansukachita Actually the facts are despite your high mutilation rate you STILL have the highest rate of HIV and you know why because you need CONDOMS and SOAP not surgery (some doctor you are)! And young boys are NOT sexually active so it is best to EDUCATE them and let them decide when they are older!

  • @benjonsonable @russell56443

its easy for people from first world countries to say, but circumcision in these countries actually prevent HIV and so much other more things. Take it from me I havelived and worked as a doctor in these places and say you have an infection under your foreskin, there is a real chance u can die from the fact the nearest clinic is days away !! Thats why health organisations and even the WHO and Red Cross sponser circumcision runs in these countries.

  • @jalansukachita Why would any normal person mutilate something and loss size and 20,000 pleasure nerve endings??

  • The mutilated child has a MUCH smaller penis than the intact one.
