Anyone who has watched this video and read this comment, and says "I'll never eat batterty chickens eggs again, I'll never go to kfc again, I'll always buy free reange", well make sure you do, don't let these animals suffer for an extra couple of pence or because your hungry and theres a kfc nearby, think first, please, we've got to stop this.

and you ask me what i know on this subject? i just finished cleaning out the second battery, got 15 thousand chicks coming in in the morning. the old girls are being taken tonight by frome valley, to be ground and turned into fertiliser, the chicks are 69p each and are 4 hours old

i along with other battery farms do not have enough space ( or tolerance of salary decreasments) to keep the birds free range but would you miss chocolate if there was no such thing? how can the birds want sunlight and grass when they know nothing of it? before you people pretend to know anything about this subject, which obviously dont... let me tell you, this is a bussines , it is a large, money making scheme which i participate in quite happily as i know my hens are safe, well fed, watered ,

i do not have to go to school but i do as it is a legal requirment, the hens are very healthy, last year i refitted the internal structures with more modern efficent systems, the birs share a cage which is 50-50 cm with 2 others, al together i have 30 thousand birds, i supply eggs to two local super markets, tesco and waitrose. now before you people crittisies the system i agree that hens should be out side and be free but in this world, social and business

this is actually the most efficient method of producing food at a low cost, the chickens have everything they need, are injected when lesss than 3 hours old against sellmonella and polio along with various other imune boosters. I am 15, and have inherited 2 battery egg farms in overcompton dorset England, One I run completly independantly and its revenue is currently £400,000 a year. most of that money goes to running costs, buying in new birds etc but i get 40 thousand a year.

Well I agree with you, it's terrible. But there is a great problem. There are too many people today and we dont have enough place. That's why we can't keep all the chicken, cows and pigs free range. If we did, there would't bee enough meat and egg for everybody. That's the sad trouth, there are too many of us now and this is the base of all our modern problems.
