Great to see Linux put to such good use! Reviving old computers is such a rare thing to see, with people throwing away thousands to millions of pounds worth of computers every year, hopefully that number will decrease and people will see the benefits edubuntu can bring like they have here.

by any chance does anyone know of a website where they sell the older library computers, i like to get old ones and rebuild them to make something cool, my fastest desktop is a p-4 2.8ghz and my laptop is a celeron m 1.6ghz. but they all run really fast because of some software tweaks i did in windows xp

Yes, the Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP) can save a lot of waste - and work! k12-ltsp or Skolelinux (DebianEdu) are just two further projects making use of network booting.

This is a wonderful idea. I found your videos via the librarian(dot)net blog. I have been curious about Ubuntu for a long time and like anything that will keep stuff out of the junk yard. Thanks.
