@StokesNumberSeven A gift shouldn't cost $60. lol MGS4 had neither the gameplay nor the story of its predecessors I feel. Graphics were great of course, but that's the least important requirement. It felt too "western", in that many games these days try to put in the Call of Duty feel. Resident Evil 5 is another example. This whole stealth in a war zone theme just didn't feel right. The gameplay was too short, and the movies too long and uninteresting.

Thanks for this. Personally, I feel MGS1 is the only Metal Gear game with a really good story in addition to great gameplay. MG1 and MG2 have the potential to be great stories but they really need to be remade to tap into that potential. MGS2 and MGS3 were really fun to play but just didn't have a story like this. MGS4... ugh. I haven't played the PSP games. Still, even though I haven't played a good MG game since 2004 it will always hold a special place in my heart.
