JIMMY JAMES performs LIVE! as Marilyn Monroe "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" on The Phil Donahue Show. This show was a major turning point for Jimmy and sparked the beginning of a career. This show brought him into the national and perhaps international spotlight. This show gave him the break that every performer hopes for. Years of touring followed.
Ten years later he would retire from his "Marilyn Years" to evolve and establish himself as a singer/songwriter in Dance Music. His current hit single "Fashionista" from the album 'Jamestown' is played in clubs and fashion shows all over the world.

This show was seen LIVE May 1987. Back then there were only about 4 TV stations. Millions watched Donahue worldwide. Right before I started to sing I went BLANK! You can kind of see it on my face. So I just opened my mouth and THANK GOD the words came out! The dress was designed by Shek in Atlantic City, NJ. Shoes: nude Ferragamo pumps.
