Eric Whitacre conducts Lux Aurumque. This was at "A Night With Eric Whitacre" the show was at the Lied Center of Kansas the choirs were made up of, Lawrence Free State high School Chamber Choir, and Lawrence High School A Cappella Choir.

Light,
warm and heavy as pur gold
and the angels sing softly
to the new-born baby.

This is a poem by Edward Esch, and the translation was by Charles Anthony Silvestri

  • well, either turn your speakers up or accept the fact that 3/4ths of this song consists of mezzo pianos, pianos, pianissimos, with a plethora of decrescendos. There's only one climatic point to the song, and i think you can hear the longing of that grand forte. P.S. Whitacre's sleep kicks ASS.

  • this song makes me cry!!
