Tutorial: Cable Management

A way to help manage your cables more effectively.

Make sure to use velcro ties or other tying products that are reusable

Color code your cables a different color for each bin or tote that your using. I use Blue for Audio, Yellow for DMX lighting cables, Red for power cords (extension cords, IEC cables and splitters) and Green for computer cables (USB, Monitor cables etc).

Wow, I am absolutely stunned at the number of people who are bitching because they thought the video was for PC cables. That's like bitching over a Death Cab For Cutie music video because they thought they were a metal band.

This is a good tip for effective cable management, whether you work with audio cables or not. Stop complaining and be grateful that there are people out there who don't mind taking time out of their lives to show you how to make yours a little easier.

yeah but u can sort of apply this to ur pc cables... mos tof them are alrdy color codded... pink=mic green=speakers/headjack and the rest of the colors are already there on factory computers... the velcro might help... still yeah like all of you i agree i was looking for PC cable management its a mess for me and i dnt wana resort to twistees or zip ties cuz i plan on moving my stuff around later on. he shud add MUSIC to the tittle... it would have helped. :|
