it's good that throwdown changed sound.. at least we could listen to something like pantera these days.. coz as what i have observed, new bands today are just playin some heavy music without control, unlike pantera where the music is heavy yet it has southern influence and the solos are still there.. so it's good to make pantera as a band for your inlfuence, groove metal..

hey...everyone has their own opinions about Throwdown and Pantera, but my opinion is that I'm glad there's at least one band that sounds like Pantera these days. I don't think about it as them ripping off Pantera or whatever. I see it as they're keeping that sound going :)

i feel ya. it's like they totally changed over night. what sucks is that they were one of the elite hardcore bands of the time. huge fanbase and everything. they threw all of that away and changed to a Pantera-sounding band.

i can see that...i am not a pantera fan at all, but isn't it fckd up for an already established band with a sound to go to sleep a hXc band then wake up sounding like a Pantera cover band? the 1st time i heard throwdown after the change i couldn't believe it...it wasn't over time either...1 record sounded like Throwdown, the next like Pantera...weird to me.
