Eighteen percent of men are going to develop prostate cancer in their lifetime and unfortunately, 3 percent of those men will die from the disease. Doctors often use a blood screening test called PSA to detect signs of prostate cancer. There has been a lot of controversy about the usefulness of this test, so I spoke with Dr. Ray Pak, an urologist at Piedmont Hospital, about whether the test is helpful for detecting prostate cancer.
