A quick pit on a north facing slope at 9500' on Titus Ridge. Total depth was just over 3' which is deeper than most other slopes where the snowpack was generally 2-2.5' deep. Nearly a week of very cold temperatures combined with a thin snow cover have turned the snowpack to loose, sugary faceted grains. This is going to become a significant problem once we start getting snow.
