  • @Rowly13 LOL, impossible-I'd love to hear subtle differences, but- I am partly deaf.

  • @coralarch Have you listened to both their interpretations ? Just try and hear the subtle differences between the two .

  • @Rowly13 Interesting- what would constitute a Hollywood version? I love Glenn Gould's playing - have never heard this man before, but love him.

  • Such delicacy, poignancy and grace- an absolute, soul-stirring masterpiece

  • I am sure Glenn Gould would have considered this a 'Holywood-version' of the Emperor and indeed Murray drags it out quite a bit ; but isn't this the right way to play it ,with such emphasis and dynamics ; I think it is ,this masterfull execution of the most powerfull romantic piece ever written .
