I have a sovtek russian green,a russian black,and an american from late '70s....with switch tone...and....with a lot of electric problems.
I love the green one!!!
The american is ok for siamese dream's songs
P.S.try to use more tone and less gain

@blondegraemey I prefer the Sovtek one myself too, kinda thin but not lacking in punch. For some reason it reminds me of Delftware.
