  • HOW WAS ANY KID SUPPOSED TO FIGURE OUT THE MONKEY PART!

  • Mega Drive/Genesis had the best music. The little trumpety MIDIish bits in this and PC are cheesy and odd...

  • this game is sooo fun yet hard, my mom has only made it past hakuna matata once in her life, then when I was 11 I finally climbed the waterfall and bet the ape

  • if there really is only 16 minutes of game play that means this game must be damn hard the first time you play.

  • I got past the monkeys by trial and error and then remembered how to do it... It was the volcano chimney crap at 4:29 that ALWAYS killed me! I NEVER got past it until, years later, I downloaded it for DOSBox while on a nostalgia kick.

  • I remember playing this as a kid.... like fucking 5 or 6 years old... Why the hell did they make this so hard?? The monkey part was so complicated and I would never make it past the crazy run towards the screen with the buffalo... wtf kids game was this?

  • Ahhhh... Memories...

I honestly liked the music in the Genesis version better...

"Can't Wait to be King", "Hakuna Matata", and "Be Prepared" used to be the hardest stages for me.

  • I could never get up the logs when i was a kid :(

  • insane gaming

  • @SkateTFL By the bit that said 'roar at monkeys'.

Was I really just an incredibly intelligent kid? It was common sense...

  • @SkateTFL I know right? I had to use a walkthrough to beat it.
