Here are some instructions for fixing this. It takes a while to get the mbpro apart to clean the fans, but it's not that difficult.

My computer is also making this noise. It started out of the blue and it's driving me crazy.

Wow. I have a late 2010 macbook pro and my fan makes the same noise sometimes.
It will randomly start doing that, and other times it is quieter.
I am going to take it to the Apple store.

my warranty is gone i'd like to know how to fix this or am i better off getting a new laptop? its only 2 years old though.

why don't you send it to tech support and let them fix it? should be cheaper than a new laptop...
