@beano1 well yah 99% of the time but there are very few scenes where they shoot outside like that one episode of Sinfield where they go to LA and they shoot at the Hollywood sign. or that episode in friends where they go to the beach the episode name is "The One With The Jellyfish". you can check it out here /watch?v=dwmV60XB1Sc

what i was saying is these laughs you hear in the sitcoms are added later most of the time. just like when they shoot outside the laughs are added later.
