" The Wren "

First outing for a new ultra compact hurdy-gurdy. Measuring only 220 x 180 x 600mm, it's small and brown with a surprisingly loud and sweet song and has no trouble flying so "The Wren" it had to be. This one is in G/C with drones at G, C and trompettes at c'/d' and g'. This recording was done mainly with a studio condenser microphone with a little help from the built in transducer.

Neil, thanks for posting these. I've just been listening to some of the horrid instruments in need of maintenance played by people who don't have a clue what they're doing. I'm glad that people like you post ones that show what the instrument can do to counter the dreck that gets posted out there.
