Cornish Pasties can only be made in Cornwall and Philp's bakery with branches throughout Cornwall claim to have world famous pasties. As well as their own self confessed boast - we've had recommendations from multiple locals to confirm the same thing - that the pasties from Philp's bakery are the best in the world!

Kwai Chi and John Skellon (http://youtube.com/schellinho) peel back the truth behind this claim at the Hayle branch of Philp's Bakery.

To try one yourself, here are the details of the branches:

  • @booker90 no philps ftw

  • The only Cornish Pasty I've ever had was in the Newcastle train station. I realize it's not the same but it was as close as I could find! :c

  • @gordonlyle

No one does a "Proper" Cornish pasty anymore, which is meat filled in one end, any type of meat, and desert in the other end.

  • @booker90 where is lavenders?

  • Fantastic..Philps are making plenty out of the "cornish Pasty" and claiming to be the best in the WORLD!!!! I thought that CORNISH pasties could only be made in Cornwall (according to the Cornish lol) Well I make them here in Thailand and they are Fantastic (took a few mistakes on the way!)...and I call them traditional CORNISH Pasties...hehe

  • I've been to Philp's and I've got to say, they make the BEST pasties I've ever had!

  • No proper cornish pasty has mince in, this is something some shops make for kids or emmits as they can't handle the steak! I have been eating pasties for years and although Lavenders are good, Philps are the best. Rowes are a bit too comercial now. My only tip to tourists is don't eat warrens, they are NOT nice! And as for Gingsters, just don't even breathe their name in the same lifetime as the word pasty, they are not connected!

  • @kicker599 No you do not, thats absurd man

  • @MusicIzMySavior aye but you have to be in cornwall to have a REAL pasty, and you have to be in china to have REAL chinese food

  • cock
