This is a wood furnace made to heat the shop I work in. It took approx. a week to build it and can possibly manufacture a similar one for someone else. it has the potential output of 1,000,000 BTU

  • That's a very tidy job of welding there.

    I like it,....

  • why so big

  • Does it stil operate wal, in this days?

  • im new at this...so those holes... or little tunnels heat up and the fan blows thru those holes and the air turns into warm air right? that whole metal box heats up because of the fire but the actual fan wont hit the flames but only go thru the barrels or holes as you would call it. did i get the concept right? im thinking of something like this...maybe i can have a stove outside my garage and run like a dryer hose? its this or a kerosene heater but i would need the window or door open to vent

  • As a professional welder, designer and fabricator, I gotta say you guys did a FANTASTIC job on that thing. I'm about to build one tomorrow and have been really disappointed in the look of the ones posted on here... they work but they're ugly as anything. Yours is an impressive piece of art! Keep up the good work.

  • I dig the sight glass

  • it looks loke a spa ce ship

cool that will heat your butt i bet

  • Very impressive!!!

Good idea on the heat exchanger. So is the combustion air makeup on top of the furnace?
