And ps...............why do saic motors make an ad as if the cars British, they dont even sell it over here?

As a Rover 75 2.5 ltr coneusseur owner i cn say they are really great cars and have always been fantastic value for money and great car to drive.
As the Roewe 750,here was a great chance to enhance the design even further, which was missed?
The Roewe is just a 75 on the outside a straight copy (a design which is now 13 yrs old?) and on the inside it has lost the charm it posessed with al lthe plastic and no wood??
badly thought out SAIC MOTORS....

I own a Rover 75 Tourer CDTi SE Connoissuer 131bhp. It is definately the best car I have ever owned. I have had two BMW 3 series, a Jaguar X Type and an Audi A4 estate. The Rover feels more solid, never rattles offers amazing comfort and the fuel consumption coming from the BMW engine which is superb. It has electric everything and nothing has ever gone wrong in the 4 years I have owned it. Future classic....wait and see!

It seems everyone wanted to celebrate the Britishness, build quality and image of this car except the British themselves. Bloody shame BMW bought Rover just to destroy the brand after they realised the 75 was pulling sales away from series 3's and 5's. Maybe they will sell Roewe's in the UK one day!

@OliBN1 they still turn my head today. Beautiful cars when will we learn. How comes Italy can still produce FIATs, and France Renaults. When you think that not that long ago Skodas were considered a joke along SEATs (lazy boy FIATs) all turned round by VAG. All we have now is a so called MG.

The Hair Blair bunch did not do anything to help British industry. Other makes lost were Peugeot at Ryton, Ford in Britain (trucks and cars), ERF now built by Germans, Foden, TVR, Vauxhall at Luton, Alvis (as in military hardware), Seddon Atkinson killed off in Spain and Scammell. The list goes on… And many more were killed off in the '70's. AEC, Albion, Riley, Wolseley, Hillman, Humber, Singer, Sunbeam, Commer, Karier etc. etc. under old Labour!

Hmm well i own a MG ZT-T ,and to be honest it is a fantastic car for the money, it also has the BMW diesel engine and is great on fuel .
As for British built cars , well i have to say i love them "BUT" and its a big but , and that is i cant help thinking that the british goverment (maggie thatcher) could have done more to save it .
Same old story we sold everything british , Now we will pay for it . WHO SAID PRIVATIZATION WAS CHEAPER ?????????

@AhmadAmor What BMW drivers dont realise is their Diesel engines are Powertrains! Yes Rover!
-
the 75 and ZT/ ZT-T are beautiful cars, both to drive and look at =]

@darthlleyr Yes, you're right! After MG-Rover collapse, SAIC bought MG and Ford bought Rover. When Ford sold Jaguar and Land Rover, Rover was also sold to TATA.
Unfortunately, Rover is now a "sleeping brand" but MG is now being produced and sold in China and UK
@spotswood4444 I agree entirely !! What are these detractors of Rover on about ? They've probably never opened the door of a Rover 75 , let alone driven one. So much brainwashing and ' anti-patriotism' out there.....it's quite staggering !!

Our beer has taste. Aussie beer and US beer have no taste because it is far too cold. Oh and America listens to the UK, because the Yanks have the power with their enormous military, but we have the brains and the worlds finest spy network.
Aussie land is just full of Britains reject criminals.
