One of the finest beats I’ve heard in the last 8-10 years. The sampling of King Tee (“I bring the alcoholic spirit to the room.”) is fantastic. For me, the backdrop electro-beat neither waxes, nor wanes, but exists. It’s a beat that, like a gentle running stream, will fill whatever shape it encounters, whatever mood the listener is in at the time. And yes, the Dilla influences abound, but Suff Daddy has truly made this his own. Danke Schoen.
