Malcolm Michigan - Church Magnet

Gravity Hill is located at the corner of Joyfield Road and Putney Road in Benzie County, Michigan. The Blaine Church sits at the SW corner of this crossroads.

Turn south onto Putney Road from Joyfield Road and travel approx 100 yards until it appears that you are at the bottom of the hill (you can still see the stop sign behind you in your rear view mirror).

Stop your car, and put in neutral. Your car will begin to move backwards, seemingly "uphill", and continue to accelerate towards the stop sign. You can also drive "down" the hill and turn around. When it appears you are at the bottom of the hill facing north toward the church, put in neutral, and you will move "up" the hill, accelerating toward the stop sign.

Some say it is gravity. Others say it is the church pulling you back.
