You should read Twilight and do a review on that. Not THAT would be the best review ever.

lol funny stuff!
i read this book in school and about the grits...
our teacher did a demonstration and when the grits are uncooked they are like sharp or something so kneeling on them is actually painful, he got a few cuts on his knees when he showed us. he said it was a common punishment in the south or something, where grits are popular.

Woooow u are a MORON! But just to let u know, grits don't start off warm & mushy dipshit. & her getting her period was to show she was entering her womanhood, her father didn't rape her u pervert

I'm reading all these comments about the book. How did this book "suck"? Was it not exciting enough for you? This book was REAL. What, so T. Ray wasn't the killer by a surprise plot twist, but putting this book up with Twilight? Give me a break. The characters were real, they weren't bland, unlike so many characters I've seen. Wake up, people.

@thornewood9 i am in love with this book.

@jimmybenkins Too bad Great Gatsby is now going to be a terrible movie since Baz Lurhmann (The guy who made Moulin Rogue!) is going to direct.

i would just like to say:
even if you didn't like the book some things you said were really immature.
My God you read The Secret Life of Bees through to the END?!
*Awed*
Wow. I got as far as the third chapter and then gave up. I found out what happened in the rest of the book by asking the librarian.
What other books did you have to choose from?
Cause if Jane Austen or Charlotte Bronte was there you should have picked one of those. Cos SLOB did suck. It is one of the crappest books I have ever read. Down there with Twilight and Great Gatsby.

Scarf metaphor is great.

That's actually a pop culture reference as well. Happened to an actress back in the... 50's, I think.
