  • Love it,Love it, Love it! You do great work, and make it look effortless. And you get wicked serious with those thinners :o)~ Keep up the great work best of luck to you and keep them coming, we all enjoy them, so thank you !

You think you could do a golden retriever for us sometime? Dont sweat the negatives they are just jealous hee hee

  • @LasVegasGroomer :) Thanks, your comment made me smile :)

  • @jillbrown65 Well first off this isn't the part where I do her face... second the way I do it is the proper way it should be done, sorry if you don't like it. ;)

  • hi i thought when you were trimming around a westies eyes you were never ment to clip out between the eyes but just remove stray hairs with the thinners to maintain the spiky look?

  • You are right, they do call for it to be done that way in a show dog but I groom only pets so I clip it short to keep it clean and free of debris.. the average pet owner doesn't care for their dogs like a show owner/handles does.. it's alot of work keeping those faces clean and stain free. Clipping makes it much more managable, however I wouldn't shave the entire bridge of the nose, just the corners of the eyes. ;)

  • Thank you very much. I used your 4 step videos tonight and my westie turned out pretty good.

  • Hi. Great videos, really helping me cut my Westie for the first time. I'm in the UK and have bought WAHL clippers, blade comb guides vary from 3mm to 25mm, so seem to be different sizes to yours. Please could you tell me what length to use on the ears, belly/groin, and feet? Thank you

  • Great Video! We still take our westie Bailey to the groomer but have been thinking about trying it ourselves. Will definately refer back to your videos when we give it a shot!

  • My goodness!! How on earth do you keep your dog so calm?? I have 2 Westies and have just bought a clipper set, but one of my dogs just won't be still.

I'm impressed! Going to part 2 now.... :)

  • I want this adorable dog!

  • I am working to become a groomer. I am working at camp bow wow and I am doing bath, nails, ears, and teeth.... not to mention anal glands EWWW lol

anyway I really want to do this, I was wondering whats is the best way to go about it. Should I go to a school, or should I go to a groomer and see if they are willing to teach me? If school is the way to, what school should I go to?

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHA its so funny how she just sits there heheh, loooks just like my baby harry

  • A Westies coat is coarse its only soft because its not been hand stripped so leaving the dead hair behind it can also cause exzma and most groomers dont do it as they dont know what there doing IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG GET IT GROOMED PROPERLY contact kennel club for details of groomers and they dont cost much more than dog parlours
