  • *I LOVE VERY VERY MUCH JEW*

  • @Emmy1828

    Translation:

"Groom and Bride - Congratulations!" (x3)

"Drink to life; it's a wedding. Drink to life; with a glass of wine. Let's sing; it's a party. Let's dance; it should be joyful!"

"Play you musicians for the in-laws, for the sweet bride, for the beautiful groom! Play louder, so that nobody will hear the bride's mother crying!"

"Drink to life; shout Mazel Tov! Make a circle that whirls without an end! When you're lucky, who needs money? Sing l'chaim for the whole world!"

  • Lovely videoclip of the wedding and excellent musical performance!

  • @Rickyrab REALLY?? how the hell did that happen?

  • @ibr248 Yiddish is essentially medieval German with a Jewish twist, so I'm not surprised.

  • it is a mix of yiddish and a little bit of traditional hebrew! yiddish is hardly spoken anymore only in very orthodox homes or the older generations know yiddish!

  • Nobody knows what this means but it's provocative!

  • @ibr248 yeah, strange.... jewish sounds very much like german... is this really jewish? (never actually heard jewish with the exception of the expressions of the Nanny ;) )
