  • @1981deloreanfan I am only 1/9 of the MNGRR board. That being said, I very much would support a back to Edaville movement. I am from Massachusetts and have very fond memories of Edaville. If the right owner came around that was receptive to the idea of striking a deal for some or all of the equipment to return that would absoluetely be a possibility.

  • @mngrr well soon edaville may have a new owner and many offers on the property are the idea preserving the railroad. If a new owner does come around to the idea, mngrr should try to strike a deal with them. i mean way how i see it would be a good first move for the new owner, if mngrr moved the owner of edaville could used it as a tax write-off due to the museum being non profit and with that owner could pass the savings on to maine narrow gauge. to me that would be an idea at least to consider.

  • @1981deloreanfan We would very much like to move back to Edaville if we could control the operation and the land it is on. The problem is that it is for sale right now for something in the ballpark of $10 million. We don't have anywhere near $10 million, nor the means to raise that kind of money. We will likely be moving, at least some of the equipment, as we have received proposals from Bridgeton, Gray, and Monson in Maine.

  • @mngrr i am surprised maine narrow gauge hasn't considered moving back to edaville. There is plenty of space and away from that corrosive salt air. also since the place now separate from the atwood family, that would no longer be a finacial burden. there also penty of vacant buildings to store the rare 2 ft equipment.

  • @1981deloreanfan I would say there is a tiny little chance at this point. I'm not sure anything will run at Edaville again with the state of things as they are in South Carver. IF they found a buyer that was the right type of person that would cut a fair and reasonble deal with us at MNGRR I know there are many - including myself - that would love to run her at Edaville again.

  • @mngrr is there any chance mngrr would run old #7 at edaville railroad again? I mean its not just b&sr/b&hr #7, its also edaville #7/Fred Richardson.

  • What a great video! She is being restored, but the project needs more funding. Donate today!
