  • When I was homeless, as a child, they took me in. When I was hungry, as a child, they fed me. When I needed shoes, they gave them to me. When I needed medicine they bought it for me. I was their daughter. Not my parents, but every family that cared for me, fed me, sheltered me, cried for me, prayed over me, and treated me as their own. Thank you. It seems I have a lot to pay back.

    If I can be cared for as an abandoned child, surely they can too.
