This has been the highlight of my day today.

I wish today's composers would write in this soulful melodic style. I tried to in my "Symphonic Variations After a Theme of Cesar Franck" for piano & orchestra available here on YT but I'm the only one I know who does. All of the current composers I've run across write stuff that looks more like an electrician's schematic than a music score. And what come out!! I don't recognize it as music at all, just something more like a traffic jam, or weird-sounding space noises. Very sad.

@evanwu54 I agree. It made my guts wrench inside. This is a horrible performance. The phrasing is all wrong and it lacks the momentum and dynamics that make this piece what it is.
