**Hi all! I've done this same test, but w/ a Sony Reader for comparison, and uploaded the video. Hope it helps!

Attention!!

Potential buyers of Eee Note, if you need to use it frequently under low light conditions, for example, taking notes in a dimly lit lecture hall with your Eee Note flat on the table, you might want to re-consider...

  • But it turns very dark...

I still can't understand your light condition

Well, I shot the video at night in my room, with my ceiling fluorescent light switched on.

Cheap LCD screens always have a problem of poor viewing angles, especially when viewed from below. You can see that when people review the cheaper notebooks. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the Eee Note's display is a LCD screen as well.

Anyway, I've uploaded a new video with a Sony Reader for comparison, so you can see the difference in the screen's reaction to lighting.

  • It seems like you put it in full darkness? Not in small piece of light, is that true?

  • @RangerDK21

Full darkness? nope, you can see the floor of my room is properly lit by my ceiling light.
