dont listen to liber lies estate tax will hurt family farms/ family hunting land, leave the estate tax to the super rich not to family farmers, especially farms outside cities that are worth millions, their farms will end up being residential developments for rich city upper middle class assholes, people be smart vote for libertarian minded candidates not for elitist assoles who want controll

Do you really need proof that Fox News is biased media that caters to extremely well-off white folks? Watch the ad's they run on this network. In the midst of a global economic meltdown, this network has ad's for brand new Mercedes Benz's and BMW's and expensive timeshare getaway vacations in remote exotic places. They sure as hell don't show the credit debt ad's they show on BET! Not to mention that Fox News declines to document the struggles of poor and non-white people like the local news.

Wasn't that money taxed before death? Why tax it twice? That's just inherently unfair. Poor minority liberal here btw.

They really should >.>

And it is fair! Just because these rich kids are being butt hurt ... "OH THis is my money. My daddy worked for it BLAH BLAH" What about the fucking americans in the ghettos. What about the americans that are struggling to make ends meet, and all that other shit? Why not help them?

I see all the time where we need to help people in Africa and 3rd world countries- WHAT ABOUT HERE AT HOME? WTF AMERICA?

it's very easy to go around the inheritance tax, though. You just make the transfer BEFORE you die. this doesn't mean that I'm against the Paris Hilton tax though(lol)

because it's money that is being given to another person who didn't earn said wealth.I will argue that perhaps 45-55% is a bit too excessive but I will not agree that it shouldn't be taxed at all.The second reason is because American forebears came from a place where aristocracy, greed and corruption went hand in hand.People who have alot of money have a lot of governmental influence. But in a land of democracy you tend to want to curb that as much as possible to give everyone a even keel.

Super wealthy people protect their capital against taxation through life insurance which is tax exempt.
