perfect timing? are you nuts? the barrel blew off before impact! paid a lot of money for some shit shot. bad timing bad video. bleh. im sorry i watched except for posting this comment.

dumbest and gayest shit i have ever seen
-
Fucked that one up hey!!!
-
Yeah you are right, the timing is wayyy off.
If you spend a minute of so, double clicking very quickly to find the point when the blash was, (during 5 sec) you will see the explosion is before the truck even makes contact!
Then the truck still protrudes through the impact barrier until it's inertia is transferred, this is the point when the drum should have been blasted.
Not when the truck makes impact, but slightly after.

Seriously guys, stop bad commenting his video. Yes you're right it not a perfect video...ummm maybe that's why it is called "raw footage"? Maybe go to his wall page and watch a video called "Farmer's Insurance". I LOL at stupid dumb -arse people like bluminonyon, oneeyelucky, fowzie777 etc.
PS: Great video.

your clients must be a bunch of dumbasses!! it was so obvious that the barrel came apart before the truck hit the barrier......that was horrible...
-
shitty timing having the barrel come off before the truck even crashes...
-
Its a shame though. The drum isn't much secured actualy. (at least not on the european trucks.) We have tried to lift up a truck by putting a strap around the drum. guess what.. we lifted the drum but the truck stayed on the ground. It was designed to be pushed down by gravity. So who knows what would have happened if yoy guys didn't fake it like this.
-
haha. what an idiot. oneeyelucky you are right. they det of the explotion before it even hits the blocks. loosers
-
The drum WAS EMPTY
Damn-ass who staged this video needs to get his timers right.
Hint: No explosions before impact. Impact must be severe for the explosion.

The timers were perfect. They blew the drug off the truck at exactly the correct moment.
After filming, in "post" the smoke from the explosive charges was eliminated.
The client paid a lot of money for that shot. If they weren't happy with the final product, we would have done it again.

Your correct,a lot of things are misspelled. That is because I was rushing,it is a comment on youtube for peatsake. Also, when I thought about the truck would be totaled at 80 MPH and there are atleast 10 inch diameter swers keeping the thing on.P.S.I am straight "A" student. And another thing I bet I` am older than you!

So, you're rushing again? Really, learn to spell; you look dumb as a box of hair when you write like that. You may be smart, but you don't present yourself well.
"there are atleast 10 inch diameter swers keeping the thing on."
Um, could you try that again? I have no idea what you're trying to say. swers????
If you're a student, there's a very, very high probability I'm much older than you.

that was terible you could see the blast of the explotion.also the truck was going at like 30 mph it is not possible at that speed to take the drum of bacase that drum was sicurly bultid down and the weight of the concreate inside you would have to go atleased 80 mph fr that to happen

My god, you're uneducated.
Slow down. Learn to read. Learn to spell. Learn to type.
Yes, you could see the blast. that's why the video is called "raw footage". After it was shot, it was sent to post-production and edited.
I doubt the drum would remove itself in that fashion at 80mph; they are very securely attached to the truck. That's why we spent a week modifying the truck so this would happen as planned.
