  • Let them know Brownsugar. People are always talking down on BET but without BET we wouldn't have alot of the stars we have now.

  • I think people talk down on the station now because it's not how it used to be as with all so called music based channels. It's all about reality shows. But I would take these stars over todays stars.

  • This was back when BET was the sh*t. Now, I don't know what the hell to say about it...

  • thie bet rules. ironically, when free and a.j. left 106 & park, this bet died, and around the same thing, the real mtv died and stopped playing music videos

    R.I.P. BET (1980-2005)

  • wow Video Soul....back when BET had some class and dignity

  • i miss those dayz!!!! now mtv own it ..from there viacom ..that why it change!!!

  • i miss this bet luv sherry carter and rachel best 2 looking women bet had

  • welcome to video soul my name is donnie simpson! lol

  • Because it's all about money these days. They don't care. They only care about keeping up with the mainstream. Back in the day BET showed ALL urban artists. They did not discriminate like they do now. There are only a select few over 30 yr old artists that they support. It's all tap dancing Bob Johnson's greedy fault.

  • I miss BET from 1987 (when my father first got cable) to 1999. BET sold out in 2000. The white boys owned it now. You notice that when a white distribution company owned BET, it's crap now? Before Viacom, BET was more BLACK, more URBAN, now it's sold out!
